  It started out good. The owner was nice and attentive. Once it got to be a regular thing, the cleaning declined. When I complained, he would send someone back to redo the cleaning which is good. However, it was never as good as the beginning. As the cleaners got comfortable, it showed in the result. He changed the team doing the cleaning to try to remedy the situation. The new team was ok. Same as before...started out good then declined. I wasn't there one day when they came to clean. My boss asked the man if he could clean under her chair since it had dirt from the chair wheels. She suggested scrubbing that area. The man apparently went to the owner and complained that we asked to do too much. He didn't show up for a month (2 cleanings). I called and asked the owner what happened. After speaking to his technician, the owner let me know that the tech misunderstood him and thought he didn't have to go back because someone asked him to do other stuff. When I seemed perplexed by his response, he told me he was going to be frank with me and that what we pay for the cleaning wasn't worth what we were asking him to do (really, to scrub an area of the floor that is high traffic). I found this unprofessional especially because when I met the man, I told him my expectations (floor was my main concern...and the reason I switched to his company to begin with)....I asked for a quote....I didn't say lowball it. He quoted me low to get the business and not for what I asked and now was upset that I was asking him for the service I asked for. I told him to schedule a cleaning because our office was a mess and in the meantime I would look for another company. He said ok. Instead of not showing up, he should've called as soon as it happened and said hey you're asking for more work then was proposed, it will be an additional fee or something along those lines. We would have paid it. When I said this to him today, his response was "what's the difference...I told you then"....meaning when I had to call to find out what happened to the service and why they didn't show up for a month. Today, I emailed to confirm that they were still coming and he called me and was confused by my email. When I explained that this was our last cleaning, he said this was awkward and that he wouldn't "subject his cleaners to this" and that he wasn't coming anymore for the service. As if I'm some Gila monster or something. I told him he was unprofessional and that I didn't do business that way. Then I said Thank you and left it at that. I believe in the saying “Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.” My advice is if you want mediocre service, ok cleaning and an unprofessional owner then by all means go with SCC. You can't expect much when the leadership is as such.
