- DDDanielle DeTomasoJan 27, 20251.0Posting here because I’m just still genuinely upset at how I was treated this morning. My bf is a collector and sells some pieces online and I try to help by dropping his packages off at the post office since he works during the only hours they’re open. He packaged an order in a priority mail box not realizing his order was a ground shipment. While I asked John if we could just cross out where it says priority shipping he said no and got me another box. I appreciated that. He asked what was in the packages and I explained they were collectibles. He opened the box and made a smart comment about how we used bubble wrap (even though they were very inconveniently packing peanuts). He then tried to dump my original box into the new one very carelessly. I grabbed the box to print the items in mint condition from being damaged. He then snatched it right back from me trying to force things to fit and I told him to stop because they were worth a good amount of money and need to be packaged carefully. He gave me attitude and could tell I was fuming. I took the box to the other counter to be left alone and reassess what my items looked like. Luckily they were not damaged but I never felt so disrespected for just trying to send out a package with our government ran mailing system. This is why so much stuff just gets ruined when post office workers just don’t care about their job. After going to this location regularly for years and knowing the attitude John has, I will NEVER step foot here again after this morning. They should be able to read all the comments left here and the surveys they tell us to fill out and hold someone accountable for not offering even somewhat decent service or get them to retire or something. This is just ridiculous.
