Honestly, I only come here to return things - it's an easy happy return bar experience. The line is straight ahead to the right when you enter the store. There are signs stating "Amazon/Happy Return Bar/etc."

Awful service, long wait time. In comparison with Command Copy where I get service very quickly all the time, Staples are like turtles!

This location has terrible management and a very poor attitude toward local residents and customers using Amazon or UPS return services. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
They are clearly understaffed for the number of visitors, and the service is extremely slow. If you don’t want to waste an hour every time you return a package, do not come here.
This is my third time here, and every single visit I’ve had to wait between 30 minutes to an hour. Completely unacceptable.

The line to make Amazon returns is way too long for 1 person to be handling everyone. I see the majority of bad reviews are related to this issue and obviously no one cares to make any changes. Responding to a review and doing nothing to resolve the issue is probably worse than ignoring it altogether. Will definitely need to look for alternatives as it is obvious customer service is not important at this location. If you help it avoid this store. . Didn’t have have this bad experience at staples on ocean ave and ave Y.

I had a very unpleasant experience at the Staples - 1880 Coney Island Ave location while returning Amazon packages.
From the moment I walked in, the employee who assisted me — an older white man with a white beard, slim build, and not very tall — was giving me looks of annoyance and disrespect. When it was my turn, I approached the counter and placed my boxes down. He immediately said he wasn’t ready for me in a rude tone, so I stepped back and waited patiently without saying anything.
When he finally started scanning my returns, he spoke to me in a raised voice, asking if everything was UPS. I calmly answered his questions, but he continued handling my packages with visible frustration and anger the entire time. I did nothing but wait my turn and follow instructions, yet I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
What hurt the most is that later that same day, after picking up my son from school, we stopped by the store because he wanted to buy a small toy. When it was time to pay, I saw the same employee at the register. I felt so uncomfortable and uneasy that I told my son we would buy it another time because we needed to hurry home. No customer should feel so uncomfortable that they avoid making a purchase.
I understand retail jobs can be stressful, but customers deserve basic respect. I hope management addresses this situation, because no one should feel disrespected while completing a simple return or shopping with their child.
