Extremely Poor Customer Service & Long Wait Times This post office is completely ridiculous. The lines are always extremely long, sometimes with over 40 people waiting, and the majority of the time there is only one employee working the window. Picking up a package is even worse. They usually only have one person working the package pickup window, and it takes at least 15 minutes per customer just to locate packages. Even if there are only 10–15 people waiting, the process is painfully slow. I have personally waited 2 hours just to pick up a package, which is unacceptable. It honestly feels like management does not care about the customers or the long wait times. Customer service is not good overall, however there is one employee who is consistently polite and helpful, and I appreciate their professionalism her name is Lisa. Unfortunately, the overall experience at this location is consistently frustrating and disorganized. This location needs better staffing, faster service, and improved management immediately.

The clerk at 2549 Jerome Ave refused to look for my package she herself confirmed TWICE was at the office because “it was a lot to look through and (she) wasn’t up for that today”. I returned to the post office before closing after not receiving a call. THE DARK SKIN, SHORT PONYTAIL , OLDER FEMALE CLERK WITH THE CARIBBEAN ACCENT started yelling that I would have to wait for the supervisor to call me, said the supervisor could not come to the front & she “would not walk back and forth to give a message just to make me happy” , this female yelled “what part don’t you understand” then accused me of “putting words into her mouth” after she told the supervisor she in fact didn’t say she didn’t want to look for the package. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL TO DELAY THE MAIL ON THE ACCOUNT OF LAZINESS ! Not only was the package confirmed to be in the office TWICE. I contacted USPS dispatch who confirmed the package was showing in the office. THE CLERK REFUSED TO FULFILL DUTIES OF HER JOB THEREFORE, I WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE MY PACKAGE.

I've never seen a supervisor who does such a poor job. She treats people badly, and the employees treat customers badly too. The supervisor isn't identified and refuses to give her name. It's simple: if those in high positions act badly, all the employees will act worse. Your post office should fire all the employees and start over with new ones who are friendlier and provide good customer service. That's my recommendation. They're also breaking the law by using signs prohibiting cell phone use in the establishment. Let me ask you: would you call the police on a child who takes out their cell phone and starts recording something in your post office, which is a public place? Another thing I want to mention is that they don't have the post office rules and regulations posted on the wall. In conclusion: this post office is breaking the law in every way.

I have had a P.O. Box at the USPS location on 2549 Jerome Avenue for over 10 years, and unfortunately, the experience has gone downhill. While customer service used to be pleasant, many of the workers now appear unhappy and unapproachable. Simple greetings like “good morning” or “good afternoon” often go unanswered, which makes the environment feel very unfriendly. The package pickup area is extremely slow. Many times the line is out the door, yet only one person is assigned to help. I have waited up to 45 minutes just to retrieve my packages. For people who run businesses, like myself, this is very inconvenient since I come here frequently. There also needs to be a better system for locating packages. On several occasions, I was told that packages are “thrown on the floor in the back,” which explains why they are often hard to find. That is unacceptable and highly unprofessional. Many times, I don’t even receive a pickup slip in my P.O. box, and I only know I have a package because I track it myself. The money order counter is another issue. Some of the workers there are extremely rude, to the point where I avoid certain windows altogether. The one bright spot at this location is Lisa. She is outstanding. She is always helpful, professional, and truly makes the effort to locate my packages. If everyone worked with her level of care and dedication, this post office would be a much better place. Overall, this location has serious customer service and organization problems. With better staffing, improved package handling procedures, and more respectful interactions with customers, it could improve greatly. As it stands now, the experience is frustrating and disappointing.
