Even one star is too much for this office. It is poorly managed, and the staff are unprofessional. There is no fast service. You have to wait in a line of up to 15 people, and everyone is waiting for only one service window. Only one employee is helping customers, which is unacceptable. Sorry — not sorry — but you need to change the staff or find a solution. This office is very large compared to the others, yet the smaller offices serve customers in just a few minutes, not an entire hour.

Wanda has a disgusting attitude and super condescending. I’m not sure what’s up with her but definitely not someone I want to deal with. Luckily this is not my local post office. Maybe it’s time for retirement.

I came to pick up a package on a Thursday that I first requested for the redelivery on a Tuesday of the same week that didn’t show up at my doorstep. First, I was waiting in general line for half an hour to be told I have to go to abundant package inquiry window and wait more for someone to magically appear. When the lady finally showed up- she didn’t even want to check the back room for my package saying it’s not at post office when my tracking was saying otherwise. I did ask her several times to go check- but she refused!!!! It’s Monday of the following week and I still don’t have my package yet!!!

I am writing to formally report an extremely unpleasant experience I had at the post office located at 558 Grand Concourse in the Bronx on Saturday, February 7th, shortly before 1:00 p.m. I was next in line and the representative seated at the far right front desk window was the only clerk available. The employee in question was an older African American woman wearing glasses and either a gray or blonde curly wig. I am providing this description solely to ensure the correct individual is identified, as this is not my first negative interaction with her. Before I was even able to approach the window, greet her, or hear any form of customer acknowledgment, she abruptly stated using an internal acronym unfamiliar to me that if my package had that type of label, I was required to use the self service kiosk. When I calmly asked her to repeat the acronym, as I do not work for the Post Office and did not understand the terminology, she raised her voice, demanded to see the label, and forcefully told me that it was a self service label and that I needed to use the kiosk and drop the package myself. At no point was the process explained in a courteous or professional manner. The interaction felt dismissive, condescending, and unnecessarily hostile. I responded by stating that customers should be engaged and informed, not spoken to as though they are expected to understand internal processes or acronyms without explanation. At that point, I chose not to continue the interaction to avoid further escalation. While attempting to familiarize myself with the self service kiosk, a process that took approximately ten minutes, I personally witnessed no fewer than three similar interactions between this same employee and other customers, all involving a raised voice and a dismissive tone. One older gentleman even told her directly that he was taking his time and asked that she not speak to him in such a manner. Customer facing positions require patience, professionalism, and basic respect. The repeated nature of these interactions suggests this behavior may be ongoing rather than an isolated incident. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately. If an employee is unwilling or unable to interact respectfully with the public, reassignment to a non customer facing role may be more suitable.

I don't trust the security of the United States postal service. On December 12, I sent a package to Puerto Rico, and according to the tracking number, it didn't have a sufficient address. The package hasn't arrived back to me. I filed an insurance claim, but they require me to fill out a form. I started filling out the form, but they need to download the receipts. If I don't provide proof of what was in the box or send a receipt, they won't pay the $100 insurance because they say they need proof. But what kind of proof does the post office show me? Where is my package? I want my package because if I can't download the receipts, they won't pay $100 because they need proof, but the post office isn't showing me any proof, not even a tracking number.I can't trust that tracking number because it's a scam. Then it says if you want to add money to your tracking number, but why would I need to add money if the tracking number isn't working? According to the tracking number, my package was supposed to arrive in three days P. R. because it's a flat rate shipping option, and I paid $31.40 for the priority box, which includes $100 in insurance. Where is my package? Why? The tracking number says the package was moving on January 2nd. I checked it and it stopped there in January. When I asked the post office for information, they told me that the tracking It's a general fee for correspondence. Since I haven't been able to download some of the receipts, she gave me three days to file a claim, so they're not going to give me the $100 for the loss of my package.I didn't add any extra insurance; the package already includes $100 insurance that covers what's in there. If I had added additional insurance, then I would have to explain what was in the box for the insurance to pay me, but not insurance that is already included in a purchase or service. The post office demands a lot of money, but they aren't responsible for the mail or packages that are sent, yet they do want you to be...They're very particular about when it comes to paying for damaged or lost mail. It's not the first time the post office has thrown away my mail; they sent me a credit card and I never received it. I hope that when using email, you'll use a different method than the post office. That's my opinion. If the mail service has worked for you and your mail always arrives, then keep using it. But I'm not going to use US mail anymore; I'm going to use another method that works for me.
