As I walked in—alongside about five other customers—the woman with long brown hair immediately shouted, “Is this Amazon?? Just use the machine.” No greeting, no offer to help—just that. I responded politely, “I don’t mind waiting. I’d rather have you scan it. I’m not sure if I did it right. It’s not Amazon, it’s Adidas.” She smirked at her coworker and said, “I don’t know why it matters. It gives you the same receipt.” Her attitude made me feel completely uncomfortable and unvalued as a customer. I reluctantly went over and used the machine. When I finished, the box didn’t fit in the bin provided, so I brought it up to her. Her only response: “It didn’t fit in the bin?” It honestly felt like the employees were doing everything they could to avoid offering actual customer service. Just pushing everyone toward the self-service machines. I try to support small-town businesses over big-box stores whenever I can, but in this case, I bet the customer service at Kohl’s or Whole Foods would have been much more respectful and helpful.

I don’t know who the guy behind the counter is but he needs lessons in customer service. He’s always so curt and just plain nasty! Seems like he either doesn’t like his job orrrrr he doesn’t like people that look like me! I’ll pray for him but I’ll give my business to another store!

The owner is usually on site. He and staff are always friendly. And at holiday time, there is nowhere faster for getting me in and out the door. I can come in with a pile of presents, tell them which items are going to whom, and if I have shipped to them before, labels are printed immediately without my having to fill out any forms. Labels are set with the appropriate gifts, I pay with my credit card, and am out the door. Boxing happens later, so I don't have to wait around. The first time I left things to be boxed, I was a little nervous, but every single item has always gotten where it was headed. This shop is convenient, friendly, and reliable. What more could you ask?
