- RMRich McGrewMar 18, 20265.0The post office on the south side of Binghamton is definitely better than the one on the east side (downtown Binghamton). Less waiting, better more helpful service... They suggested I ise a priority mail flat rate envelope instead of a regular priority mail envelope, saved me $5, it only cost $12 instead of $17 like I was paying before. I had been sending regular priority mail envelopes at the post office on the east side of Binghamton (downtown) for months and spending an extra $5 each time for no reason without even realizing it and nobody there told me anything, but at the south side post office, the nice lady behind the counter immediately realized I was paying too much by not using a flat rate envelope and I saved $5. And there was no line, I had immediate service, while the one on the east side usually has me waiting in line like 15-20 minutes. If you are going to a post office in Binghamton, go to this one on the south side, it is the best, better service, they find ways to lower the price, less wait time, much nicer. I am never going to the post office on the east side again now that I know about this one!
