UPDATE: I originally wrote a review for this store about a week ago. The owner has since hidden my review from the public so I copy and pasted it below for you all to view. I was not going to do this however my recipient received their package and it was extremely damaged. It looked like it has been punched and the NEW body mist that was in the package is missing the sprayer?? If the package was damaged in transit the sprayer would still be somewhere in the box NOT completely gone!

Original review:
The staff at this location very clearly hate their jobs, but that's not my problem and it shouldn't be taken out on customers. Basic customer service is not hard. A simple "hello" or "how can I help you?" goes a long way, but instead, they immediately grab my package and assume I'm making a return.
Last Friday, I went in just to mail a package. The guy asked for my phone number, and I clearly said my area code was 808. Somehow he repeated back 516, to which I kindly corrected him. He said "okay" and still repeated back 516. After saying my area code THREE times (which sounds absolutely nothing like 516, by the way), he still entered a completely wrong number-- not just the area code, the entire phone number. After correcting him, he caught a serious attitude and kept cutting me off while asking me for information that HE needed. Due to him constantly cutting me off and his horrible listening skills, he managed to mess up the recipient's name AFTER I spelled it out for them, and somehow my sender address was wrong too.
While this is all happening the Asian guy (also mentioned in other people’s reviews) just stood back and watched the show and offered no help for the incompetent employee. In fact he seemed to have found it pretty amusing.
On the other occasions I've been there, they have been extremely sassy about taping a package or returning Amazon packages.
I strongly recommend not going here unless you're okay playing a risky game with your package and just hoping it arrives where it's supposed to.
I mean with their stink and nasty attitudes it's hard to trust they are handling valuable packages with care. They might throw a tantrum in the back, since that's the behavior of toddlers and that's clear in their childish attitudes and incompetency with listening to basic customer information. It's pretty clear they don't care and obviously don't listen--and apparently believe they know my own phone number better than I do. This place is consistently rude, careless, and frustrating. It's unfortunate that many people have to choose a different UPS store that is further, simply because management after multiple negative reviews can't get it together. There's absolutely no excuse for this staff especially after reading several experiences like mine. In conclusion, There is no standard at this store so just save yourself the grief of dealing with useless, unqualified, incapable, and poorly trained staff.
I visited The UPS Store in Albertson to mail a package containing items valued at over $200. There was only one customer ahead of me. The employee assisting him appeared polite and engaged. However, when it was my turn, the tone immediately shifted. I felt rushed despite there being no other customers in the store.
I asked simple questions about shipping cost and estimated delivery time. The employee responded in a condescending manner and told me that either he could pack it for an additional charge or I could purchase supplies and leave to pack it myself elsewhere. I agreed to pay for them to pack it. He then stated, “That’s fine, but I’m not packing it now,” and said it would have to be taken to the back. Same Asian guy that’s mentioned in everyone else’s complaint here.
Given the value of my items and the attitude I was already receiving, I asked if the box could at least be set up at the counter so I could assist with packing. I was told no. At that point, another man came from the back, identified himself as the owner (Frank), and became immediately defensive and confrontational. Instead of calmly addressing my concern, he raised his voice, accused me of insinuating that my belongings would not be safe, and began speaking while facing the wall rather than addressing me directly. When I asked him to turn around if he was going to speak to me that way, he slammed a business card on the counter.
I also requested the employee’s name and was told it was “none of my business.”
After leaving, I went to The UPS Store in Garden City Park, where I was treated professionally and respectfully. The staff there had no issue answering my questions and packing the box appropriately. Notably, the quoted shipping cost there was $59 — compared to the $79 I was quoted in Albertson for the same shipment.
Based on my experience and after reading similar one-star reviews describing comparable behavior from this location, this appears to be a pattern rather than an isolated incident.
Professionalism, transparency, and respectful customer service should be standard — especially for a business handling valuable shipments. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Two employees were extremely rude and impolite, especially the taller one. I honestly don’t understand how UPS allows staff to treat customers with such a horrible attitude. Completely unacceptable.

Horrible customer service. The people working there are not helpful at all. They need new employees.
