Different every time I go, so mostly an inconsistent atmosphere at best. Sometimes the lines are long and you have employees looking into their computer screens doing nothing. Other times you'll catch an employee actually caring about his or her job. Yesterday I got Clerk #15 according to my receipt (tues.Oct.4th). Mr. Wonderful said nothing to me. Zero instructions on my package, no hello, no goodbye, no nothing. Just grunted something under his breath, so I grabbed my receipt and left. If you hate yourself, your life, and your job, do us all a favor and stay home !

I’ve been picking up my mail from this post office since August while waiting for my replacement mailbox key. I even have the receipt showing I submitted the request months ago. During this time, employees like Nichelle, Keisha, Jean, and the supervisor have always been professional and helpful (ONLY THEY GET A 5 STAR). Today, however, I was treated with complete disrespect by an employee named Diana (the old, disgruntled Caucasian lady who should’ve retired years ago). I’ve never been treated like this for the past three months. She gave me nothing but attitude and refused to help. The only thing she did was rudely correct me when I said “Michelle,” saying, “There’s no Michelle here — it’s Nichelle,” in a condescending tone. But hey, thanks for helping me get her name right to shout her out! She then told me I couldn’t pick up my mail anymore and that I “needed to pay,” even though I already have proof of my receipt. When I spoke with the supervisor afterward, she helped me with my mail. It was clear from her tone and behavior that she treated me differently from other customers. I truly believe I was racially profiled. The difference in treatment was obvious, especially compared to how respectfully other employees have handled the same situation. This experience was unprofessional, unnecessary, and completely disrespectful. Diana clearly doesn’t belong in a customer-facing role, and management needs to address her behavior immediately. If the post office had provided my key when they were supposed to, none of this would even be an issue and that’s one less minority Diana would have to deal with.

2/3s of the counter staff this morning are a bit off their game. I rented a PO Box online and was instructed to go into the post office to get keys, sign a form, show 2 forms of ID. I get to the counter and a woman quickly just starts saying "no" to everything. She says she can't print the form that I need to sign and that I need to goto a library to print it. She then starts claiming my credit card cannot be used as ID, but refused to tell me what could be used, and instructed me to look it up online. A second woman joins in and was even ruder, just wanted to tell me all the things that they can't do, instead of simply telling me what is needed. I finally had enough and told them that I didn't like their passive-aggressive attitudes and that I'd be finding another post office. One woman starts 'beating her chest' claiming that I have yet to see how aggressive she can be. I hadn't realized I was supposed to be prepared for such a psychological battle with two unhappy people. Finally, as I'm walking out, the third clerk jumps in and saves the day. She asked the ladies what was wrong, and they both just claimed that they didn't do anything. (Which is 100% accurate, they didn't do anything, including assisting the customer. That's nothing to brag about.) Apparently, they can print the form needed for me to sign, and apparently they can also tell me which forms of ID are acceptable, which I had in my pocket. Apparently they can rent me a box without me having to goto the Library and going online to search what forms of ID are accepted. It's all a simple matter of finding someone there that is trained and willing to help the customer. Today, that was Noemi. She saved the day. Her expertise on printer operation and willingness to hand me keys to my new mailbox was exactly what I had came into the Post Office for today. Once Noemi showed the other two ladies how to operate the printer, they seemed genuine in their claim that they simply did not know how to do it. Which there is nothing wrong with as long as you ask someone for help. But to tell me, the customer, that I have to goto a Library to print out a form, because you're too stubborn to ask how to print it yourself, is bad people skills. Noemi deserves a gold star for her customer service. The other two ladies might be past retirement and due for a role that allows them the alone time they seems to want. While Noemi handled the transaction with professionalism, the other two ladies wanted to continue to make rude and sarcastic comments. I finally had to tell them that if they are not able to help me, and since Noemi is, maybe they could move onto helping the next customer instead of trolling me while someone else does her job.

I wanted to renew a P.O. Box and Marjorie would not let me finish my sentence. She went about how it’s a privacy issue and would not let me renew my box. I had to fall in line again and renewed it with another associate only to find that my previous keys did not work. I fell in line again. With my luck, Marjorie was the one to help me AGAIN. It makes me regret complimenting her on her red lipstick earlier. I informed her my previous keys did not work and I was not given new keys. My receipt says the lock was changed and 2 keys should be issued. She said I’m supposed fill paperwork. I said the other associate did not ask for any to be filled. I asked if I may speak with a manager because her tone was very short with me and I needed to get to the bottom of my box situation. After 15 minutes, no manager arrived. I am not sure what I did to rub this person the wrong way but she was very unprofessional, but kind to everyone else. I fell in line 3 times, paid for 1 year renewal, wasted my time and still don’t have access to my box.

Compared to other post offices, this one is great. I have been to it many times and have had similar experiences. The outdoor drive-thru box to drop off mail is actually located on the side of the building and accessed via the side road. The front of the building faces Pebble (the address of the post office). There is plenty of free parking. Once inside, the post office boxes are located to your right. The self-service kiosk and free priority shipping boxes are located just ahead of you when you enter. The day I used the kiosk for my pre-paid needs, the receipt printer was down but I was able to use the email receipt option. There was no one in line in front of me for the kiosk. I was able to process my parcels efficiently and without any issues. The bin to deposit your parcels is located just to the left of the kiosk. To the left of the front door is the main post office area where their friendly staff are at the counter to help people in the queue with their needs. The lobby itself is not that big nor do they have a large amount of counter space. Also located there are shipping supplies available for sale. It was decently stocked here. There was a small queue of people waiting to be helped. Overall, this location was very nice and very clean. I was surprised that at the time of day that I went to this location, it wasn't more crowded. Usually on Fridays, around mid-day (I went at 3:00 p.m.), it's much busier. You can always tell by how busy the parking lot is when you pull in. The staff were very friendly. There was plenty of free parking and the location's exterior is also very well-maintained. Overall, a great experience at this location.
