I shipped a couple of packages to another state and specifically requested signature required to ensure my personal items were delivered securely. The employee who assisted me—a tall, dark-skinned woman—confirmed the shipment, but unfortunately the signature requirement was not applied.
As a result, I had to stay home for two days due to FedEx delivery delays, trying to make sure my packages were received safely. Additionally, the website was not functioning properly, which made tracking and resolving the issue even more difficult. Overall, the experience was very frustrating and poorly handled.

On Saturday, December 13, I visited a FedEx Office location to ship a laptop to my son. The package weighed about 15 lbs and was being shipped within the same state (from Las Vegas to another city in Nevada).
When it was my turn, I asked a very reasonable question: whether I could purchase any insurance or coverage in case the package was lost or damaged during transit. The employee assisting me immediately appeared irritated and unhappy. She left the counter and did not assist me for about 15 minutes. Another employee came instead, and both had visibly negative attitudes.
I was told very abruptly that FedEx does not offer insurance and that I would need to purchase third-party insurance. I asked what would happen if something went wrong with the shipment and who would be responsible for the loss or damage. Their response was rude and dismissive.
I politely asked if I could step aside for a moment to check online for third-party insurance. I specifically said I would be right back. When I returned (after being unable to find anything online), I was told I had to go to the back of the line again. I explained that I had already been in line and had informed them I was stepping away briefly, but they insisted I start over.
After waiting in line again, the same employee entered my shipment information incorrectly — the address was wrong, my phone number was incorrect, and the value of the laptop was not listed. I had to correct all of this myself. Throughout the process, the employees continued to show very unprofessional and irritated behavior.
In the end, I was charged $85 for the shipment. I had checked beforehand, and the same shipment through UPS would have cost approximately $45. When I asked why FedEx was so much more expensive, I was told, “Probably because it’s Christmas,” which is not a professional or clear explanation.
I also paid extra for a box and asked that the laptop be properly packed with protective paper. However, the package was set aside, and I am honestly not confident that this was done correctly. When I asked to place a “Fragile” sticker on the box, I was told this would cost extra and was considered an additional service. This was very surprising to me, as I have shipped many packages with FedEx in the past and “Fragile” stickers were always provided without any issue.
I am extremely disappointed with this experience. The attitude, lack of professionalism, and rude customer service I received are unacceptable for a company like FedEx. People with this approach should not be working in customer service.
I sincerely hope FedEx management reviews the conduct of the staff working during this shift on Saturday, December 13, and takes appropriate action.

I wanted to get my passport renewed. An employee by the name of Hollis came to assist me right away upon entering the store. She told me that I had to fill out an application renewal portion online. Since I was there, Hollis happily took my passport photo and showed me how to navigate online on how to go about filling out the application form. I returned a few hours later and Hollis immediately recognized me and made sure I had all the correct information and documents for my paperwork. Having this kind of customer service is fantastic. And Hollis definitely went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Thank you again, Hollis. Keep up the great work!
