- BSBob SmithMar 20, 20225.0Stopped in on a Saturday morning to get some post card stamps. The lady there was super friendly and she told us she had recently retired but came back because she loved her job. This kind of person is a dying breed and we hope the post office appreciates her dedication and loyalty. Postal employees have a hard job and their work load has tripled since Amazon and COVID-19 so be kind to your postal employees!

Gentlemen at counter was super helpful & friendly! The post office itself away clean & welcoming. I believe hours of operation may have said Monday-Saturday 11am-3pm.

We walked to town carrying what we could. After searching and finding out there is no public transportation or taxi or Uber to get a ride to Carlsbad, NM we reluctantly began asking people for a ride. Everyone we met turned us away, just as we were losing hope I went into the post office to ask the gentlrman working if he knew of any other way we could get to Carlsbad. This gentleman told me if we hadn’t found a ride by the time he got off, he would give us a ride himself! That is in fact what he did! This kind man came and picked us up and took us all the way to Carlsbad so we could rent a Uhaul and pick up our bike. I wish I could remember his name to thank him again but it escapes me. So to the kind gentleman working at the Whites City Post Office on 8/13/18 THANK YOU again! It’s wonderful to know that kind people like you still exist in this world!
