4/25: After experiencing several other POs I raise the rating of this one to two stars, not because they have gotten better (though they may have), but because it seems that the quality of service at ALL USPS locations has deteriorated, bringing this one to closer to what seems to be the standard today. 3/24: The people who work in this PO are nice enough, just maybe not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Anyone living in this area might do better using the Shiprock or Kirtland PO. In the past year I have had my personal and business mail forwarded twice (seasonal resident) and twice they have screwed up what in the past with other post office locations has been a simple process. Once I handed my forwarding order over the counter - that didn't go well so the next time I used the USPS website to enter my forwarding request, which was confirmed by the postal service. But no mail gets forwarded. Good thing I wasn't counting on that, and lately it often seems that the goal of the postal service is to discourage people using the post office. On top of this you have other craziness that seems to affect the entire postal service: 3 of the last 5 priority mail shipments I have sent out of this PO were misdelivered at the destination and 'cannot be recovered'. Just try to claim the 'insurance' on something like this - you'll just be wasting your time. If you send mail from here to Kirtland or Shiprock (a person can walk to either place in an afternoon), your mail will go via Albuquerque, and if you are lucky it might actually arrive at the destination - three or four days later. Oh yes, they also close the counter service in the middle of the day for lunch, which seems to be just when I always want to mail packages. I understand that the person who works there should get a lunch break and that the size of the operation doesn't justify having enough employees to allow the counter to be kept open throughout the day. Just something else to consider when deciding where to go for postal services...

My mother has a box there and the guy that always puts the mail in the boxes gives her a hard time about her monthly check. He doesn't put her check in the box and she has complained about it to him. Is he doing this intentionally???? So she is on a fixed income and needs her check on the day it's delivered. I am very disappointed. He's a grown adult and what kind of a person does this to our mother and mind you she's and elderly Navajo native American. I told her to close this box and move it to mine in kirtland where they are much more courteous than waterflow. Do your job right or find another place to work. Clearly your not.

The older worker at the post office has the worst attitude ever. She offered the worst customer service that I think I have ever expirenced. If I could do 0 stars I would. Someone needs to be fired for sure.

Horrible customer service. The older lady who works there is always giving me sassy attitude and smart remarks when ever i come in for mail whether its for sending, recieving, or have questions. She defintely needs more training.
