The employees here are Superheroes. Often doing 2-3 people's worth of work! My complaint is with USPS. WHY IN THE WORLD do you not PROPERLY STAFF your offices?? It's like you do it on purpose or something. Especially with how much MONEY WE PAY YOU. SHAMEFUL.

I brought three letters to mail from this post office and asked for help with the postage. A young man there didn't stamp my letter correctly and almost kept my change as well, holding $30 in the opposite hand while giving me a small portion and waiting me to leave. I had to ask for the rest of my change before he would hand it to me. It seemed very fishy at the time. I used to be a cashier and we usually don't use both hands to separately hand people different portions of their change. One of my letters got sent back to my address for needing additional postage. I came back to the office and asked to speak with someone about my experience. Politely and carefully I described what happened and that it seemed strange that the letter got sent back even though I asked an employee to help me mail it and purchased postage from them that day to mail it correctly. I also mentioned the incident with the change as a separate concern. The post office employee and another who was eavesdropping on our conversation promptly denied any responsibility for the letter being mailed incorrectly and said that I should've asked for them to weigh the letters. They said that they aren't mind readers. I told them that I'm a customer and didn't know the letters needed to be weighed. I asked for their help in mailing the letters and it should have included weighing if that was part of the mailing process. Then both employees told me that I was being accusatory and that they didn't appreciate being accused. I told them I wasn't accusing anyone, just stating the facts about what happened. The letter (or letters) were mailed out incorrectly by employees at their establishment. Then they argumentatively insisted I was being accusatory and asked what I wanted of them. I said I'd like to re-mail the letter that was returned to me for inadequate postage. Next, the employee in front of me very rudely proceeded to "help" while still remaining argumentative. Apparently , I didn't push the correct button on the screen and instead of kindly helping me she stated that it's a "two-way street" and that they "expect something from my end" in order to complete the process. I looked at the screen and it was completely blank, then back at the woman who obviously cared more about proving herself to be right than helping me remail my letter. At this point, I decided to mail my letters from a different post office and told them thank you, but no thank you. If you are still reading this review, and if you value kind and and courteous communication between human beings, please don't come here. You'll be treated like the enemy, and not like a well-meaning customer.

As other reviewers have stated, ride and argumentative employees. Horrible customer service. I dread having to do business with the postal service and especially this post office. I’ll stick to UPS and FedEx.

After living in Minneapolis for 5 years and getting consistent, drama free, super professional service from the Longfellow neighborhood post office, I soon realized things can be much worse when I experienced the Taos area postal services. I was charged $9.78 to pick up a package at the post office which was handed to the post office by UPS and the postage was paid when I ordered the package in the first place. They act like some sort of mafia scum.
