Our mail bank was vandalized in September. There are less than 5 boxes that were damaged but they decided to STOP DELIVERY to everyone. This means that the entire neighborhood now has to go to this office to retrieve mail, versus them delivering to those that can get their mail at the mail bank and delivering to the door for those who can't. On days I've gone to pick up, I've gotten there early enough to be one of the first in line at the FRONT DOOR, only to find that they occasionally open the side door first. So much for getting there early to get in and out quickly! There's no point in getting there early to avoid long lines because you never know which door is going to open first! If you're at the wrong door, you'll end up in a long line. Some consistency would be helpful. 🤬 To add insult to injury, they only have ONE person (I can't recall his name but he's patient and kind) behind the counter while the rest get a 'pep talk' in the back. Once the 'pep talk' ends (by then I'm at the front of the line), they send someone out to ask if anyone has a pick-up. Why not create a line just for pick-up at the Dutch doors? We're already being inconvenienced by having to pick-up our mail, now you're making us wait in long lines? Open ALL the counters when you have long lines..don't leave it all for ONE person! I was told that the carriers would still be delivering packages to our homes. So imagine my surprise when I began getting notifications that I requested my mail be held. That NEVER happened. They made that decision for me (at least on the weekends). What happened to 'packages will be delivered to your home'??? On top of this, I recently saw that a package sent to me via PRIORITY MAIL (that I needed for work), was expected on a specific date and was not delivered. PRIORITY mail has the importance of it in the name! But now they can't be bothered to deliver it to my doorstep as they had done in the past? Upon checking the tracking details, it read DELIVERY ATTEMPTED and to contact the post office to arrange for delivery. NO ONE was here stopping them and trying to "arrange" for delivery is IMPOSSIBLE since they don't answer their phones...EVER. The following day, I see that it says it's being held at the post office, again, at my request. I NEVER requested that. It was sent PRIORITY for a reason! I needed it and once again, the USPS let me down! USPS used to take phone calls, but that has since changed and you'll NEVER reach a human. Probably because they don't want to hear customer complaints about missing packages and mail. Besides this, we've lived in our home for a few months and EIGHT of our packages have been delivered to the wrong address. I've received packages for others as well. How does this happen? The recipients address is right there on the label and our addresses are on the street AND our homes, why can't they get it right? Incredibly frustrating that SOME carriers just don't care. This office needs to get it together and make visits to the office less painful. All said, I recognize that mail delivery isn't an easy job, especially here. Some (few) take pride in their work. Others can be so cold and nasty. If you don't want to work hard, maybe this job is not for you? Life is short. Stop wasting your precious life doing something you hate and find what brings you joy!

The counter staff is polite and helpful . Mr Flores refuses to meet with customers. I requested a few minutes of his time to get clarification of postal situation concerning the Sonoma Ranch post office boxes that were broken into. Mr Flores behind the counter when he was asked by one of the postal worker if he could meet with me. He said loud and clear “N0”. This is the second time I requested to meet with him. The first time I was told he is not there yet. I was asked if I would like to speak to a supervisor who handles my area. I said yes. I was told to stand by the Blue Postal Pick Up door. I was told Mr. German Bernal could talk with me but I would need to wait there for 10 min until he was available. I waited 26 min. I asked at the desk and was told he was not available. This is such poor customer service. I have it two stars because both times the counter personnel were polite. Clearly the culture or management is negative and discourteous. We have been provided very very little information and it took two weeks until they posted minimal explanation of what occurred, where we had to go get put mail and it could be 6 months before it is resolved. I also filed a formal complaint and two days after that is when they posted the taped notice on the post office boxes.
