- CVClair V.Dec 12, 20251.0This Post Office was awesome...until Gina arrived. Laura has been so kind and helpful for many years! Gina has a trail of nasty. For example, just look up USPS Capitan, NM reviews here on Google. This is where she worked before Datil. Now she is the postmaster at the Datil location and making trouble for the residents of our small town, just like she has done everywhere else she has worked. This is a hard place to live as there are no stores nearby, and most of the residents rely on online orders shipped to us, which sometimes are sent through USPS instead of FedEx or UPS. Sometimes we also receive gifts or cards sent to us for special occasions where the individual sending accidentally uses the physical address rather than the PO box. These packages and mail are being sent back "addressee unknown." Whenever possible, from now on, all packages will be sent with anything other than USPS, and USPS will lose postage because of her. In addition, the USPS will no longer have me as a paying PO box customer because of her. I have heard of others wanting to do the same when their PO boxes expire. This woman is unprofessional and unkind to customers. What doesn't make sense to me is paying customers with PO boxes, their mail is sent back, when all they have to do is look for the PO box number associated with the person's name and physical address. However, people with mailboxes near their physical address, postal workers also have to look for a box number associated with the person's name and physical address, and nothing is sent back for non-paying customers...and these customers don't have to drive all the way to town to get their mail or pay for a box! Sounds like the right choice to me! The USPS will be losing paying customers and postage out here because of Gina. I will personally be shipping everything by FedEx and UPS so I don't have to go to this location anymore. Thanks Gina, for making life harder for a lot of good people out here. I personally spent almost five hours dealing with a single package that she sent back, and who knows how many other things are being sent back that we don't even know about. In law enforcement there is the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
