I was the only person in the store when I walked in and stood at the counter for several minutes while someone looked at photos on a computer without so much as a “Hello” or an “I’ll be with you shortly” or “Someone will be there in a moment”. Eventually the store manager came from out back. The UPS store is always sooo much more friendly, even if they’re busier.

They have self service scanners, which are convenient if you need that. If you need help from an employee, good luck! They’ll see people standing in line but are more interested in chatting with each other than helping. You’ll only be helped if you wave someone down, and then they’ll begrudgingly help with as little effort on their part as they can. There’s no greeting when you enter, no employees asking if they can assist, and no acknowledgement of consumers until they call out for help. There seems to be a concerted lack of customer service here. Whoever the manager is, they need a refresh on how to train customer-facing employees.

I have a complaint regarding the location 2720 Central Ave SE Suite B, Albuquerque, NM 87106 for an incident on 9/14/25 around 3:00-3:21pm Mountain Time. The guy behind the counter (he works on the weekend) has a non business related conversation to a customer for 10 minutes, for a transaction that looks like it should take no more than 1-3 minutes. The customer in front of me looked like he was simply mailing a package. I have never encountered a FedEx transaction that takes this long until today. Am I missing something here? It looks to me like the guy at the desk is aloof to the other customers who also need services done. I’m not sure if he is aware of the burden this creates for other customers.

When I first arrived, one of the employees assisted me and she was extremely kind and helpful. Later, I needed help adding funds to my FedEx card, and unfortunately, the experience was very different with another employee. She was noticeably rude, and although I understand the location was busy, there was no reason for that behavior. I eventually figured it out myself and added funds to my debit card to complete my printing. What was most frustrating was that even though it was my turn, she skipped over me to assist others. It’s disappointing to encounter this type of service, especially when other staff members are capable of being so helpful.

I brought an irregular sized object for shipping. First I brought it to USPS, and it is cheaper at FedEx than USPS, but The person behind the desk measured it to be much larger than it actually was, and was not receptive when I pointed this out when I noticed it prior to payment. Not cool.
