I had a deeply unpleasant experience at my local post office today, and I feel compelled to share it. I brought my one-year-old daughter with me, and since the office was empty, I let her roam a bit while I waited in line. She grabbed two gift cards, one of which was already on the floor. Before it was even my turn, the employee loudly shouted across the room, “You need to clean those up,” in a rude and embarrassing tone. I was mortified by her approach, as it felt completely unnecessary and disrespectful, especially in front of others. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered this particular employee’s rudeness and lack of professionalism. On a previous visit, I had a box with an old label, and instead of simply covering it with the QR code label I provided, she was unhelpful and dismissive. These experiences have caused me to avoid this post office despite its convenience, and today confirmed my decision to never return. It’s disheartening that a place meant to serve the community feels so unwelcoming. I hope management will address this behavior to ensure other customers don’t face the same treatment.

As I am going through the comments, I have noticed the same lady, Cathy, has been disrespectful and rude for several years now. So, this is all on management not fixing the problem. Every time I come in she has something unpleasant to say. First, it was the weight of the boxes, then it was the label being on the seem. After I adjusted my packaging method, thinking it was me, I went back to drop off two large boxes. As I am dreading going in there, thinking she can’t possibly say anything bad about my packages… The first thing she said was that I should be putting my large boxes in a bag so they won’t get drizzled on because they won’t take them if they’re wet. Meanwhile these boxes were “large” and had only a few droplets of water on them… she took them anyway as though she was doing me a favor. I just recently asked her if she could simply write fragile on a package and I was told ‘you can do it’. Obviously, I could do it, however I am asking you to do because I clearly don’t have a marker or a fragile stamp. It seemed as though I asked her to complete this huge, time consuming thing and she picked out the tiniest spot to write it. I am sick and tired of being told everything ‘wrong’ with what I am doing. I have been to other USPS stores and they are all so welcoming. They don’t say anything about my packages but instead we have a nice conversation. This lady clearly wants to be rude and chooses to disrespect people. If she continues with this repulsive behavior USPS is going to pay the price. I do a lot of shipping and this is not what I want to face every time I drop packages off. I will be bringing my business elsewhere.

Today, I experienced rude unwillingness to help me with my package. I have a package to return to the sender and the agent a white female refused to help me out. I had everything but tape and she claimed that she didn't have any. I will never come back.
