I usually try to avoid writing negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at the USPS Wayne location.
There is a female staff member—she has curly hair—who is consistently on her personal phone, often with earphones in (which are barely visible due to her hair). Unfortunately, she seems visibly uninterested when customers approach the counter, and I’ve personally felt uncomfortable asking questions. Her responses come across as rude and dismissive, and on more than one occasion, I felt like I was being mocked or spoken to in a condescending tone.
This kind of behavior is really disheartening, especially at a customer-facing counter. I now find myself hoping
I won’t have to interact with her whenever I visit, which should never be the case when accessing public services.
On a positive note, there’s another gentleman who works there—probably in his 60s ( I think his name is Bob) who is always polite, respectful, and helpful. His professionalism stands in stark contrast to the behavior I described earlier and reflects the kind of service people expect and appreciate.
I genuinely hope USPS considers placing associates who are not comfortable or interested in direct customer interaction in roles better suited to their strengths—perhaps in the back office—so that customers aren’t left feeling unwelcome or ridiculed.

Not sure if it is possible to get more surly help. Makes for a very unpleasant experience. A smile and a tiny bit of kindness would go a long way

The most unpleasant staff I have ever encountered. Rude, condescending, and unhelpful, it's a marvel they still have their jobs
