Buried amongst the reviews obviously posted by friends, family, and corporate to the Staples Google Review page, you will find nuggets of truth, where actual customers share their actual awful experiences with customer service.
What is the point of having a shipping center if you refuse to take literally any package? When I entered the store with two packages and approached a gentleman for assistance, he practically waved me away, lamely suggesting the lady at the shipping center may be able to take the package. Makes sense.
When I took my two packages to the shipping center, the lady working it had just finishing telling a customer she couldn’t take her (tiny) package because there was no more room in the box. There was room in the box. When I asked for assistance, I received the same answer.
If Staples truly has a quota of filling one box with customer returns per day, which I strongly doubt it does, it truly shouldn’t even be in the business of returns, especially after the holiday season, when returns are at a high. Comically, Staples sells boxes for $3, and they act like they are in a global box shortage.
I don’t go to Staples expecting to be massaged, but when Staples advertises returns, and people are made to feel like trash for asking the lady behind the counter to assist with their returns, something is up and people should know. Avoid at all costs and take note of the ample fake reviews.

Joe (I believe his name is) was by far one of the rudest individuals I have ever met. I was trying to print my materials for my wedding and he had an attitude the entire time and refused to help me. I ended up walking out and going to another store because of his poor customer service. Take your business elsewhere.

The service at the Paramus Rt. 17 Staples was phenomenal! They greeted me and helped me to easily locate the items on my list. They also highlighted the sales and promotions underway and walked me through designing custom wrapping paper for the holidays (which was amazingly easy to create and was ready within a couple of hours). I highly recommend this store and its printing services!!

I visited the Staples Paramus location today for a simple printing job. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing due to the complete unwillingness and poor attitude of the woman employee behind the print counter.
The situation was frankly ridiculous: I only needed to print 12 photos, which is a minimal job for a professional print center. Instead of providing assistance, the employee was immediately unhelpful and openly complained, stating that I had "too many photos" to print.
This level of unwillingness to perform basic customer service and the blatant expression of annoyance over such a trivial task is unacceptable. If a Staples Print Center cannot handle a simple 12-photo order without the staff complaining, management needs to seriously re-evaluate their processes and staff training.
Staples Paramus Management: Your print center requires staff who are willing to assist customers efficiently and professionally. I will not be using your printing services again.
