The National Guard is a unique element of the United States Military that serves both community and country. National Guard soldiers respond to domestic emergencies, overseas combat missions, counterdrug efforts, reconstruction missions, and more!
Guard soldiers hold civilian jobs or attend college while maintaining their military training part - time. National Guard soldiers attend drill approximately one weekend a month and attend Annual Training (AT) for two weeks every summer.
Because the National Guard is both state and federal, its soldiers are eligible for both state and federal benefits; like our 100% FREE College Tuition Waiver, the Montegomery GI Bill, and other enlistment bonuses and incentives.
