This Monmouth Junction Post Office is not the best. I have had a positive experience when buying stamps or dropping off letters, but for all other services, it has not been positive. Unfortunately, they are the post office that deliver my mail. It is difficult to speak with the post master (he/she is either in a meeting or left for the day, no matter the time or day requested to speak with him/her). The mail delivery driver is incompetent and won't deliver the mail days after a snow storm or leave notification in the mailbox about a package that needs to be picked up at the post office. He also leaves tire marks in my driveway when backing up. He rarely follows the speed limit for the neighborhood, going faster than posted. My husband was waiting on mail order medication. A few days after the estimated delivery date, my husband checked the website and learned that it was delivered, but we didn't have the package. I went to the post office to discover that it had been sitting in the hallway for several days. The medication needed to be refrigerated, but since it hadn't been, the dry ice melted and the medication was ruined. $2000 worth. He called the pharmacy explained the situation and told them to sue the post office. The mail delivery driver did not leave notification in our mail box that the package needed to be picked up at the post office. I was waiting on a Christmas package that tracking said was delivered to my door. It was not. The mail delivery person never bothered to bring it to my door nor leave a note indicating that the package was back at the post office. A day later, I went to the post office to find out what happened to it and there it was. My daughter was waiting for a delivery. Tracking said it was delivered, to another location in a different part of town. When she was finally able to find and retrieve it, the address on the package was correct for us, so why was it delivered to another house, with a completely different address, in another part of town? The post office never answered that question with a straight answer. I don't send packages through USPS anymore. I go to my local UPS store. They are efficient and reliable when it comes to shipping and delivery. And I get a picture when my package arrives at its destination.

Horrible. Bad enough the carrier refuses to make any effort to deliver mail, but those in the office fail to provide all mail when I go to actually pick it up. Pathetic location. Needs an overhaul, including management.
