- JKJayne KellyJan 31, 20261.0My mother is 94. I have been trying to handle an issue with her mail via phone with the manahawkin post office, since I live over an hour away. They either don't answer the phone at all or pick it up and hang up. Seriously unprofessional. If you are so understaffed you can't answer the phone then have a voice mail service set up.

I feel that they are efficient considering that they have to explain to people who ask a million questions and argue with the postal worker, these people are usually the ones who are in front of me in line and don't care that they have block up the line out of the door. ever since the ocean acres post office closed, it of course became much busier.
