I have never dealt was people like this. They were rude, nasty and very unprofessional. I asked a question about how long I would have to wait to do a passport and was told that because Ididn't have an appointment he got nasty and than told me he decided not to help me. He had no right to do that as an employee of the United States Post office. The other employee a woman with blond hair was just a rude . They are so unprofessional. I did go to another post office in the area and they were more than happy to help me. As a customer service representative, I would never speak to someone the way they did, I would be dismissed! They should be ashamed of themselves.

First and will be the last time I ever dropped off a package without getting an initial scan. I could’ve done UPS or FedEx expedited for slightly less money but the USPS medium flat rate box was more perfectly sized for my item and I figured USPS can be relied upon. Dropped off package 3.5 hours before close (1.5 hours before last collection) on Thursday, without getting a scan, since the lady was busy and said it’d still go out that day. I called Friday AM and was told by a woman whose attitude instilled no confidence that the package went out. I stopped in that early evening, waiting in line that time, and was assured the same. My package was eventually scanned late the next day on Saturday but AT THE SAME FACILITY. It’s now scheduled for delivery 6 days after drop off, despite the fact I paid for priority, which is marketed as 2 day shipping, with the exception of Sunday. I know it’s the holidays but this is not acceptable practice. Lessons: (1) Never drop off a package without an initial scan. (2) Use UPS or FedEx, not USPS, for packages if either is relatively local to you and especially if there is any urgency.

Lake Hiawatha Post Office - Michelle ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Always very kind and takes the time to make sure each package is shipped in the best possible way. There are often lines because of how busy they are, but they also have the longest hours in the area, which is a huge help. You can always count on great service. Thank you, Michelle, for always helping everyone—especially during the busy holiday season!

Slow, terrible customer service. There was no line this evening, just a mom and daughter by the island area taping up a package, and me just entering with mine. Still, the older, heavyset, blonde lady with glasses and a RBF took FOREVER to look up from her stationary post to assist me with a 5-second return—she was just sitting there on her phone. No greeting, politeness, or apology for the delay, and then had the nerve to ask for a quick positive survey like her customer service merited it. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Avoid this woman and this post office—USPS clearly just hires and keeps anybody who applies. No respect? No problem.

Worst costumer service experience ever today! I will be sending my package from UPS up the street. I try to support the post office but it's hard when you have employees like Michelle. She was unbelievably rude. Who wants to spend money somewhere when they feel mistreated? Post offices have a bad rep for long lines and bad attitudes. I think its time to change that. People should take pride in their jobs and have pride in servicing their community and country. I was looking at the reviews and seems many other costumers have had similar experiences. That is sad. I hope the post master takes action so that the people can enjoy their local post office. People want to feel welcomed and taken care of when are spending money to send important things. Michelle told me, "First, you need to learn how to address a box correctly." I think she needs to learn to be polite, assist the costumer, print the lable, and maybe even learn to upsell the shipping. Instead of saying, "You want the cheapest one?", I think that would be better for business. Thank You. I did not notice a self service kiosk, BUT I do recommend one at this location especially if the post office doesn't plan to further train their employees. A kiosk would've recommended me the best shipping options without assuming I wanted the cheapest one. And it would've thank me for my purchase.
