- STSue TrinhNov 12, 20191.0This midtown location is terrible!! If there’s a zero star option, It would be my choice! Every time I been there, the service is terrible and unfriendly. Personally encountered multiple mistakes on their end. First, I paid for a first class certified mail with return signature proof on two individual piece of mail within Hoboken. One was returned with a green return signature proof which was correct while the other piece did not. I went to the same location to inquired why I did not get the return signature card on the second piece of mail and was told that they have no clue and that I need to call the main post office downtown on River street. This is not very customer friendly first of all. After spending over an hour waiting to be help on the home being transformed to multiples people, they final told me that it is being held at their location because no one was home when the first attempt to deliver was made. Shouldn’t the post office at least tried to make another attempt?? Instead of not doing anything with it? Ridiculous! Second time, I paid for a first class certified mail to send important documents to Brooklyn and was promised that it would be delivered within 3 days, well it never did! After many calls not just to the main Hoboken location but also the Brooklyn’s post office location, they first tells me that they can’t find the mail, then the found the mail only after two weeks later! I finally had them send the mail back to me because I had to cxl and paid $25 to cxl a check with my bank that was inside the mail. Third time, went to dropped off mails with a pre-paid labels and was immediately told that I couldn’t use the priority box when the lane I had was for priority mail. I then asked if I can’t use this particular box, which should I use? Well, she didn’t have any suggestion! At the end of it all, she accepted as is. Why is it so difficult?? The Hoboken post office need to clean up their act and provide better customer service to the resident of Hoboken!
