As a Google Local Guide funnily and accurately wrote in his review of this place, this post office is certainly a mix bag of candies - you never know which days could be good and which days which days could be bad until you walk in. That’s the same reason why I rate this place a 3 star (not good and not bad) My recent experience with a USPS staff ( guess it was Michelle) was pretty good. She had a warm smile and great customer manners and the checkout of my mailing service was pretty swift. If you don’t find a parking on the Main Street, you can park in the parking lot behind the USPS that is attached to the Superfresh.

Not sure if I just got lucky, but I was just in and out in under a minute to pick up a package. Staff was very friendly. Went in on a Monday morning (11am).

The USPS on Raritan Ave in Highland Park is honestly an adventure. You walk in never quite knowing which version of the place you’re going to get. Some days it feels like the stars align — short line, helpful clerk, everything done so fast you’re almost suspicious. You walk out proud of yourself, like you just beat the system. Other days… time simply stops. You start memorizing the posters on the wall. You bond with the person in front of you because you’ve both aged three years waiting to mail a package. You check the time, but your watch refuses to believe what’s happening. The staff is a complete mix. A few are genuinely friendly, efficient, and make the whole trip painless. And then there are others who move at a pace best described as “scenic.” You just have to respect the consistency. Parking can be a bit of a sport, depending on when you go. Sometimes you slide right in, other times you circle like you’re in a slow-motion NASCAR race. In the end, your mail will get sent — eventually — but you’ll definitely walk out with a story. Not the worst post office, not the best… but absolutely unforgettable.

Although the clerks there are federal employees, USPS should be responsible about what kinds of people work in their office and “serve” people. An employee named Erica refused to provide a service to customers because she felt like it

Beyond awful customer service, Eryka at the front desk did not even stand up to greet us and we were carrying 2 large bags of prepaid packages. She would not take them at this location and would not provide a reason why.
