The employee there is extremely rude and I have never seen him once smile. It is much more worth it to drive 10 minutes to Allenhurst post office instead. I understand that these government owned places aren’t at risk of losing customers because they are the only post offices but please train your employees to be kind.

The man who runs this post office, Tony, is an abuser of postal customers, especially women, for as long as I can remember. He is a large loud man who is purposely intimidating, and many people avoid using the local post office because of him. As a rabbi in this community who people consult with, I have personally heard many complaints about his absolute arrogance. This is especially disturbing since Deal is such a wonderful small town. It is an embarrassment on the post office, on the mayor of Deal and on the town of Deal that this abusive individual and angry bully continues to get away with terrorizing people, blatantly, openly and without shame or the slightest hesitation, for decades. This manager is the poster boy for all that is wrong with the United States Post Office, and that is while every other post office in the area has kind, friendly, helpful and courteous managers & employees.

The guy who sits in his office (supervisor?) is such a miserable person. Never smiles, just sneers at you. Behind the counter they are fine and helpful. I now go 1 town over to Allenhurst instead. They are helpful with no attitudes!
