To the disgusting girl at the counter who told me I will need to adjust my daughters hairstyle before she can do her passport picture today let me educate you, I met a super intelligent kind woman at hackettstown who knows how to adjust the camera she’s given and just do her job. Instead of staying at the post office and fighting ppl you don’t even know like you got issues with them. If you hate your job that much stay home or go to the hackettstown location educate yourself very well and learn some manners.

Rude. I was spoken to like I was some irate customer, condescended to, raised their voice at me. Constantly spoken over. A slip was left on the door but there was no knock according to the folks home to receive it. The whole interaction began with them on the defensive. They admitted fault but then turned it around to blame the intended recipient of the package, insinuated he was lying about not receiving notices—nevermind that he requested redelivery online after the first slip was left. Insisted that they never attempt redelivery unless it is requested, which is a ridiculous policy even if it is true. Apparently the recipient should have called them to request their package be delivered—huh? Argued that he could’ve picked it up from them, and it seemed like the idea of someone’s work hours being the same as their hours of operation was completely foreign to them. Stated that the mailman knew the recipient because he works their route—which the recipient has confirmed is not true, and even if it were, I am not really sure how it’s relevant. Swore that the mailman would have no reason to lie about leaving notices—which is, again, irrelevant given that redelivery was requested after the first attempt. But I think most people would also agree that that’s total bull. We’ve all had slips slapped on our doors without a knock before. Then they tried to act like they were doing me a favor by even delivering it instead of returning it to sender. After talking to me like I’m an idiot for the duration of the exchange. The whole thing reeked of them trying to cover their own ass after making a mistake. I mean, why the hell would you just let an express cold pack box sit around instead of trying to deliver it the next day? Knowing that the contents needed to be kept cold, and that ice packs can only do that for so long? I use USPS for all of my shipping, but this is the last time I ship something express through them. Guaranteed 1 day delivery, then it arrives 17 days later with the contents ruined, and the blame is placed on the person waiting for the package… make that make sense. Total waste of money and not even an attempt at sympathy from them.

Condescending and rude and insensitive to the struggles of other people. The absolute worst customer service. They messed up the delivery on a friend’s package and then tried to pin it on me. If I were physically able to pick it up, I would’ve! But my friend was told that since I’m so friendly with my mail man (who I have honest to god NEVER seen in my life), I could’ve just spoken to him about it. It honestly seems like they just forgot about it, which could be forgiven if they didn’t try to twist it and blame it on me not hounding them???? It was my fault for expecting a redelivery I rescheduled to go through as expected, I guess. Hindsight is 20/20. We’ve learned two things: NEVER send anything of value through usps and some people should not be in customer service. Oh, and since she likes to make it known, Miss Melody IS the post master and in case you forgot, she will remind you at several points while talking to her.
