I called my local United States Postal Service office in Bogota NJ to ask a simple question about whether I could pick up an important check since I haven’t received mail in several days. The woman who answered was extremely rude, dismissive, and spoke to me with unnecessary attitude and aggression.
I understand they may be busy, but customers deserve basic respect. I wasn’t demanding anything — just asking for information. It was disappointing to be treated that way during an already stressful situation. I hope management addresses customer service because professionalism matters.

The lady at the desk was really rude and barely even wanted to help me. She spent over 5 minutes just chatting with someone and getting nothing done and held up the line even more. Terrible experience never come here.

I arrived at the post office in Bogota at 4:53 pm with certified mail to be sent out. Upon my arrival the postal worker by the name of Gloria, told me that they close at 5:00 p.m. I responded by telling her that I am aware of the time and than asked her what was the problem. She rolled her eyes at me. She was implying that I had too many pieces of mail to be walking in with 7 minutes left on the clock. I told her I had just left the post office in Teaneck which was filled with people, and I know they would not have been finished serving all the customers by 5:00 p.m., but I am sure they did not tell them to leave if they were already in there before 5:00 p.m. The icing on the cake is when she told me to step aside to let customers who arrived at 4:59 p.m. be served before she finished processing my certified mail. Her better judgement must have kicked in because she changed her mind and finished processing mine. With all these complaints, I don't even know why she still has a job there. Gloria is sooooo rude (if that's even her real name that she gave me when I asked for her name and her supervisor's name.) Is the post office so desperate for employees that they need to hold on to people with zero customer service skills?

I have always found this post office to be helpful and efficient. It's a very small office and can get crowded. Sometimes the line is very long. I do find mail moves very quickly from this office.

This is probably the rudest and most unprofessional post office I have been to. The lady who works there is in the wrong profession and should rethink her customer service skills. I dont just base this on one visit, every single time it gets worse!! Being protected by the union you can afford being so nasty.
