This is one of the worst USPS locations I’ve ever been to.
1) It looks like a 1980 USPS location. Nothing is automated. Even if you need a stamp or you need to mail something simple you need to see an attendant.
2) There isn’t a bin or a location where you can drop anything bigger than a letter. So, once again you need to stay in line to see an attendant.
3) Regardless of what time of day you go, there’s just one attendant and a lot of people show up trying to ship something to NASA because they take forever. So the line takes a long time to move.
4) Parking is a nightmare. I saw someone getting a ticket because he did not feed the meter at 6:50pm (meters work just until 7pm so you can see there are lots of greedy guards around.
Try to do everything you can to avoid visiting this location. Bayonne is still stuck on the 80s and this USPS location is a clear example of that.

*Update-They did not show up during work hours.* This post office is really poorly managed. I arrived at 1:00 PM, and since I had already completed everything at home, all I needed to do was drop off my box—which would take about 30 seconds. There were two female employees at the counter. I got in line with five people ahead of me, and after serving the first two, one of the employees announced they would be going on a lunch break until 2:00 PM. Before leaving home, I had checked the working hours online, and there was no information about such a break. I told them I only needed to drop off the box, but they refused. Just as I was about to leave, a man walked in and said he was picking up a package—and the same employee who refused me accepted him. I ended up wasting 40 minutes outside. I came back at 1:50 PM and got back in line (the counters were still closed). A male employee I hadn’t seen before turned to the line and said he wasn’t sure the counters would reopen at 2:00 PM due to an emergency. When I told him I had been there at 1:00 PM and was told to come back at 2:00, he had nothing to say. I honestly think they were not being truthful with the people waiting. Now it’s 2:17 PM, and there are at least 20 people in line with me. The counter is still closed, but through a small gap I can see movement in the back—so there are clearly people there. They know all these people are waiting, yet they are not opening the counter. If they don’t want to work, there are plenty of people outside looking for jobs who would gladly take their place.

I bought stamps and money orders a few times here, that's it. Leaving a review to say it's a typical small city post office, and I never had a problem there. I don't know what experiences the people complaining had, but it wasn't mine.

Worst post office on the planet. Terrible management, lazy employees. Bad service. This place needs to be shut down, and everyone needs to be fired. The employee left the desk unattended for 30 minutes and we’re literally sitting on the floor waiting for service.
