I had the most pleasant experience. Kudos to the postmaster. She helped select the proper envelope, and guided me through the process. Terrific Post Office in a landmark building.

Every Post Office I have ever been to have been friendly and helpful, when buying a box they have always tapped it for me or gave me tape for just the box. I have even been given boxes for free (holiday boxes that are past the holiday) Aug.5th - Bought a box and asked for tape and she asked her manager can he use the "donation tape" and she said "no, he has to buy a full role." Non friendly - even snapped at a little girl in front of me (6 year old) saying "the reason why your package never came is because your little dog was outside and bit the mailman, you'll get your package when the dogs inside." I left the tape on the table for someone else to use and not have to buy a full roll just to use a piece. Will take the extra drive to Portsmouth from now on.
