I understand that they donāt want to leave packages out by the door like that, but did they ever stop to think that maybe Iām home? That perhaps I am aware that I live downtown and try to plan for my deliveries to be when I am home and can get them straight away? I mean, we donāt all work 9-5, M-F!!! I was expecting a delivery today and was just emailed that itās being sent to some other place and theyāll notify me when itās ready for pickup. I was literally right upstairs when they came today and could have come down had they attempted to contact me in any way, or just left the package at the door. But no. Instead now I get to take time out of MY life to go pick up my delivery, which may not even be available for pick up until god knows when. You guys have one job: Delivering packages. There are also approximately 847 different ways to communicate these days. Ever thought about contacting me when youāre at the doorā¦maybe see if Iām home and can come grab the package??? No. Noā¦I suppose thatās too much effort. So now I shall wait until they beckon to go pick up my package, which I could literally be holding right now, and will reconsider ever ordering anything again because I cannot rely on delivery people to do their job. Again, I understand they donāt want to risk a package getting stolen or lost, but at the same time, it would be nice to get packages when Iām supposed to get them (i.e. when I arrange to get them per my schedule) And not have them be held hostage for days on end or have to waste my time and gas going to retrieve them. And here we go again. Another delivery, or lack thereof one. Just got notified another delivery is now rescheduled for Monday when Iām literally right upstairs and could have retrieved my package as soon as it was deliveredā¦butā¦once again, UPS wonāt deliver to me bc Iām downtown and itās āunsafe.ā Other delivery services will deliver and just leave the package at the door, but not UPS. I have yet to have a package taken from me since Iāve been here, and once more feel like Iām being penalized for where I live. Idk what to say anymore. I canāt help where I live. Still want my packages tho, and preferably wo all the fussā¦like rescheduling the delivery fifty billion times or making me go and get my own package. But that clearly seems to be asking too muchā¦you know, for a delivery company to deliver their packages. Crazy, I know.
