Metro Credit Union

Metro Credit Union has earned a reputation as one of the finest credit unions in the state of Nebraska. In fact, Metro has made an appearance on the Forbes Best-In-state Credit Unions list for several years running. Originally chartered in 1952 as Safeway Employees Federal Credit Union, Metro continued to grow by later merging with The University of Nebraska Medical Center Employees Credit Union in the early 80’s. Our successful growth was mainly attributed to offering real value on financial products and services. Today, Metro serves in excess of 40,000 members from eight Omaha/Council Bluffs area offices.
