I paid about $11 for priority mail and instead of giving me a cardboard envelope, the clerk said tyvek style envelope would hold my contents just fine because it's "reinforced" material. The envelope arrived 15 days later (instead of 3) in a plastic bag with a big apology on it. The contents were gone and I had to contact my bank to put a stop payment on the check inside. I wish I would've followed my gut and not listened to the clerk. I also wish the post office would've contacted me about the issue - they only sent the note to the recipient, even though they had my tracking information. Next time i'll use UPS or Fedex. I'm done with the Post office.

Ordered an item from Amazon. Tracking number indicates that this Bellevue, NE USPS office has had it since Dec 24 at 5:26am. Today is Jan 1, 2026. Even with the weekend and holiday this is unacceptable. I live 1 mile from the flipping post office. EDIT: 1-2-2026. Change from 1 star to 4 stars. Went to the post office. Found out they have their own internal tracking that is not made available to the public. What we see only indicates a pre-shipping label was created, not that the actual item was received at the post office. Hence, my item is lost in transit somewhere, if it was even shipped at all. I'm docking 1 star because it would be nice if this info had been made to me and my tracking number updated instead of leaving me hanging since my last tracking update on Dec 24. Maybe it is for security reasons to stop thefts. Don't know.

I visited the site again to apply for my baby's passport. Unfortunately, we were served a second time, and the experience was no different. It was by a young white man wearing glasses who was incredibly unprofessional and rude. One of the steps in his office was for us to rate the service we received on a digital screen with four smiley faces. He was so unempathetic and disrespectful that he even selected the happy face right in front of me. Now I'm wondering, aren't there security cameras in the office that captured this lack of professionalism? I felt completely discriminated against.
