Absolutely one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
I came in to get documents printed, laminated, and cut for a project. From the moment I asked for help, the staff acted annoyed and bothered, like I was inconveniencing them just by being there. Then I was charged $200 for lamination and cutting, plus $50 for printing, already ridiculous, but it somehow got worse.
Instead of doing the job I PAID for, they had me cut the paper myself to fit their mold, then asked me and my kids to put the pages into the laminating sheets. I did it because I needed the documents and wanted to speed things up, even though this was clearly supposed to be their job.
The employee, Li, told me it would take 2–3 hours, then suddenly changed it to ALL DAY and told me to come back at 7pm. I arrived around 11am, but I complied because I needed the project done.
When I came back, the pages were barely laminated and not cut at all. The manager, Ian, had the audacity to tell me I needed to pay extra for cutting — something I had ALREADY paid for — and then said it would take another full day to complete. At this point, I reminded him that I had already paid $250 and had done 90% of the work myself.
No apology. No urgency. No concern.
I finally told him not to worry about it because I’d finish it myself, since that’s basically what I’d been doing the entire time anyway. I ended up buying an X-Acto cutter just to finish the project myself. When I asked the cashier for the store manager’s name or a corporate number to provide feedback, he disappeared into an office and came back with Ian and another employee, who just stood there listening.
I explained again how disappointed and frustrated I was. Ian insisted — AGAIN — that I never paid for the cutting, until he checked and realized that I DID. Even then, he was more focused on making sure I didn’t call corporate than actually fixing the situation.
So here I am at 7pm, out $325, after paying for a lamination and cutting service that never happened, and having to finish the entire project myself.
Do better, Staples. Or at the very least, train your employees to give realistic expectations, honor what customers pay for, and actually care. This was unacceptable.

Excellent service from a young salesman. Many questions about printers. He took us and showed us the 3 predominant printers and gave detailed explanations about each.
Very impressed!!
