- MJMatt JohnsonDec 16, 20251.0If there is a Postal Service in hell, it's the USPS. Multiple packages lost permanently or for extended periods (weeks). I've never contacted my local USPS about an issue with postage and come away from the conversation any better off. Not once. It's always wait and see or contact shipper. Package went missing in transit for 2 weeks. "Wait and see." Package shows up in my Informed Delivery and says delivered but is not at my house and was never actually updated as out for delivery. "It went to a different address, contact your vendor." Mail not delivered after vacation mail hold. "Wait and see, it'll show up in a few days." Package says delivered but not here. "We can't contact delivery driver at this time" followed by a scribbled note 2 days later that I owe the driver $4 in postage underpayment and he's holding my package in his delivery vehicle until it's paid. Our delivery driver routinely speeds through our busy neighborhood with kids. My packages are routinely left exposed in the elements in rain/storm despite having an accessible covered front porch. Delivery driver has, on camera, been observed to speed into my driveway and literally toss packages up against my garage. You could probably write an entire handbook on how not to approach customer service simply by documenting the daily actions of the USPS.
