    Would give "0" stars if possible. This review was removed for some reason so I will post again under different account. Vass post office must have Google in their back pocket. WORST post office I have EVER had the misfortune of dealing with. The carrier in the Mt. Pleasant/690 area is not worth a plug nickel. Two Saturdays ago I was home and heard my package being tossed/dropped onto my front porch. I was watching TV but the thud of the package hitting the porch was louder than the TV. I immediately went out and confronted the carrier who denied doing it. I told him I heard it over the TV and that my son has witnessed him tossing a neighbor's package onto their porch a month or so ago. Today 2-18-2020 I was expecting a package that was "out for delivery" but it was not delivered, The tracking info says a notice was left in the mailbox which it was not. Calling the Postmaster at this post office is a waste of time because she is as useless as the carriers. What can you expect...birds of a feather flock together. This post office is in dire need of real leadership and someone who knows how to handle their carriers. I did have a postal carrier to tell me to call the 800 number and complain to customer service Maybe if enough of us call and complain, they will do something about this excuse of a post office. 9/16/24 UPDATE - Service of this excuse of a post office continues to decline. I have security cameras all around my home and today, while it was pouring down rain, I watched the carrier place my package that contains 2 electronic boards on the back porch out in the rain. Mind you my front porch is covered and screened in and I have asked the postmaster on numerous occasions to have the carriers place the packages there. Number 1 they would be protected for the rain and number 2 they would be out of site but the driver of a white minivan is TOO FAT AND LAZY to take the extra steps. As I continued to watch this carrier, she backs out all over my wet, saturated yard instead of staying in the driveway...GO BACK TO DRIVER'S ED AND LEARN TO DRIVE!!! All of this is recorded on camera for future lawsuit. UPDATE: 7/18/25 This post office continues to be the worst post office probably in the country. They pick and choose when they want to deliver mail. Had a package that was marked out for delivery and now shows that it is being held at the post office at customer request which I did not request. This post office is in DESPIRATE need of a REAL manager that knows how to manage the carriers. Trying to talk to them on the phone is useless because they will not get their phone fixed to where you can understand them. This has been going on for months.

    I'll go weeks at a time without mail coming- but I'll see their independent delivery drivers cruising in circles

    Using the services in the Post Office are excellent. Staff is always friendly and helpful...but having huge issues with rural delivery. Always getting the wrong mail when it's clearly not my address..my mail always getting delivered to someone else in neighborhood. Made many requests that mail is more carefully sorted so I'm not driving around my neighborhood delivering mail.i don't even dare have packages delivered to my home because they either don't arrive or arrive late and having been opened and resealed because they went to the wrong address.

    Too bad 0 stars isn't an option! Delivery times are ridiculously inconsistent, sometimes in the morning, sometimes around 9pm. Especially frustrating for those of us who like to check it right after or shortly after delivery. We are still waiting on mail that was sent 9 days ago from the same address I have previously received from in 3-5 days! I can't seem to get a hold of anyone at the phone number listed here. The line has been busy every time I try to call, morning or afternoon, for the last 3 days. Update MISSING MAIL WITH A SUBSTANTIAL GIFT CARD IN IT!!! I will update WHEN I find out what happened to it! UPDATE: Just checking old reviews and realized I hadn't updated this one yet. It was delivered to an honest neighbor down the road who was nice enough to bring it by when they got back from vacation. Could have turned out much worse. Thank goodness for honest, good people!
