- SPShaun PierceAug 13, 20251.0I had a bad experience today. A letter was returned to me saying insufficient postage, they were calming it was over 3/4" and therefor considered a package and not a letter. I measured it myself and the thickest part was 7/16" or just under a half inch, it was a standard A9 size envelop with a weight of 1 3/8 oz... yet they made me place $8.10 of postage on it!!! When I asked the Postmaster to show me how they measured it and where it was over 3/4" he refused, I pointed at the ruler setting next to the scales, he still refused to measure it and barked at me telling me to add the the postage and that it was "Not my problem"... he is the postmaster, he is the one who put the sticker on it and sent it back to my house, it IS HIS PROBLEM!! This is not the first time he has been rude to me and my husband also. It is a shame that I will have to stop using my local post office and start using the ones in Roseboro and Clinton.
