  I worked with Sunbelt to sell my dental equipment repair company. I was ready to retire and not willing to just let the business dissolve and get nothing for all the years that I built the business. Sunbelt, especially with Mark Ritchie, was chosen because of a recommendation from a colleague who contracted with him to sell his business around nine years ago. That sale went smoothly, and quite quickly, which left my colleague very satisfied. Talking with Mark was very easy and friendly. He let me know upfront what it would take to get the business sold. He had me get all the information like assets, financial statements, income, taxes etc. that would be needed to show potential purchasers. Once everything was together, he posted the business sale on his website. He had a lot of inquiries, mostly tire kickers, but kept me informed on all that was transpiring. I met with a few interested purchasers to show them the business and how it operated. Had one very interested individual who actually had a contract signed and ready to go. Due to Marks vigilance, he spotted several areas in the contract that were not acceptable. He informed the purchaser who made some changes, but still not acceptable terms. This went back and forth for a while and Mark recommended that this contract be cancelled. Which it was. To boil it all down, the purchaser and his lawyer were trying to set me up for failure, so they could default on a seller financed loan, without any repercussions on their part. Eventually, a qualified purchaser was found, who is going to be a good fit for the business. The sale went very easy and was much faster than I expected. Another thing to note is that other business brokers were contacted and all of them wanted a non-refundable deposit up front just to take this sale on. This amounted to several thousand dollars before anything was even signed. I did not agree to their terms obviously. The total time it took to get the business sold from first contact to sale was about ten months. The business was not listed during the time of the first contract which was around two months. A little time was lost there. Overall, I am very pleased with the how the sale went and the openness that Sunbelt communicated with me during the whole sales process. I was inexperienced attempting to sell a business. Mark performed all the hard work and took care of all the little details that made things happen. Anyone wanting to sell their business would be wise to consult with Sunbelt and Mark Ritchie. Results speak for themselves!

He stood by me every step of the way and was able to put 5 potential buyers in front of me for my audiology practice within 9 months and ended up getting above my asking price!
