This WAS a great place to drop off returns. But something has changed of late. Prior to recently, the people working there were efficient and super nice. But lately I've been in twice and both times I was treated like a bother. The latest time, I was the only person in line but the person working acted like I was interrupting her. No smile, no reply to my saying thank you, nothing. I will be taking my business elsewhere with this sort of attitude.

Showed up at 9am and they were closed, despite hours saying they open at 8am. Then returned to encounter 30 min wait.

I dropped off an Amazon box of shoes for a return. Amazon said I only needed to bring the item to UPS, show them the QR code and UPS would print out the shipping label, secure the item and ship it.
I thought secure the item meant they would tape the box and put it in the white bag Amazon had initially sent it to me in. I had already removed all the old shipping labels with barcodes from the white bag.
The guy from UPS grabbed the box of shoes up and took them out of the white bag. I thought he was going to tape (secure) the shoe box. No, he didn’t do that. Instead he threw the white bag in the garbage can, threw the unsecured box of shoes into an oversized clear bag, loosely folded over the clear bag and slapped the shipping label on top. The shipping label was the only thing holding the bag in place. The shoe box was gapping open and eventually the shoes would be falling out of the box into the loose clear plastic bag.
Keep in mind, Amazon normally gives a full refund if the return items are returned and there is no wear and tear or abuse to the return. It affects the amount of money you are reimbursed.
I told the UPS guy I wasn’t ok with the way my return was handled and why. He replied that was the way he does it. I told him I wasn’t pleased and can’t you at least tape around the outside of the clear plastic bag to make sure the shoes didn’t spill out during transit. He said, “No.”
Guess what? To this day months later, Amazon is still showing the shoes “in transit” they never reached the Amazon Returns address. Maybe because the label detached from the contents? The contents spilled out or you could read through the clear plastic to see on the side of the shoe box size 8 women’s shoes with a picture of the shoes. And somebody took them? Who knows?
Anyway, I no longer will let UPS label and prepare my returns for shipping. I go through the extra steps myself and print out the return label to properly box and tape all my returns.
Long story short, and multiple emails and calls to Amazon to explain I wasn’t responsible for the sloppy job UPS did in not securing my return. I finally got my full refund.
