- TNthank u nextAug 11, 20251.0the way the mail plays with my heart is criminal. i’m over here checking the box every single day like i’m in some long-distance relationship with the universe, only for it to give me nothing but junk flyers and disappointment. where’s my package? where’s my letter? where’s the thing i’ve been romanticizing in my head for weeks? it’s giving broken promises in an ugly envelope. and today? i’ve been sitting here, waiting for my vape to arrive, like some lovesick victorian widow staring out the window for a ship that’s never docking. hours have passed. i’ve checked the tracking number so many times it’s practically burned into my retinas. i’ve stared at the street so long i know every crack in the sidewalk. the audacity of them to make me crave something they said was “out for delivery” at 9am, only for it to be 6pm and still no knock at my door. my time, my money, my anticipation — all treated like they’re disposable. and yet, here i am, still opening that mailbox like a fool in love, hoping today will be different. it never is. i live on stoneyhill trail
