- AGAlby GivensFeb 5, 20262.0Rural deliver from this Hickory, NC post office serving Airport Rhodhiss Rd really sucks. I have a large roadside, rural mailbox, 300 feet down a driveway. In a lot of cases, the postal driver is reluctant to leave their truck to deliver mail that's too large for the mailbox to the addressed house. Since I have a large mailbox, I find my neighbor's packages in my mailbox because it was too big for theirs. I've had packages/box slightly too big for my mailbox, and was literally forced into the mailbox and I had to rip the box apart to get it out of the mailbox. Packages left at the foot, against the post of my mailbox, unprotected, and a good invitation for thieves. Also had packages left at my house front door in the rain, not protected. I got rude remarks from one postal driver when I requested that they not use my mailbox to deliver the neighbors packages. My mailbox got damaged from the postal truck hitting it with the mirror of their truck, witnessed. I have called USPS a few time to complain and don't know if calling USPS does any good or not, for I've never received any feed back from them. All I know is these infractions continue on. What ever happened to USPS no official motto, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" The message I get from all these mentioned cases is a lot of USPS people in this area don't give a darn, that they will do whatever they please.

Negligence and laziness. The postmaster general should look into issues at this and every other location.

When asked to track down the packages or refund it they informed us that it isn’t’t their fault their drivers don’t deliver it correctly. Excuse me for assuming that it’s the post office employees to make sure mail gets to people?
