I have had a PO Box here for going on 3 years or so because I live in a mother-in-law suite, which doesn't have access to a private postal box. That never impedes on actively selling eBay items, receiving and sending friends' gifts often since I hardly ever get to see them, and generally utilizing the postal service very often. If anything, they make it easier to utilize. To walk in bewildered as to how I can save money on shipping an item is nothing to them, they are quick to do their job beautifully. If I'm in line to pick up a package and they see I am waiting while a customer happens to be taking a longer time, they will quickly help me or anyone else while said customer takes their time. They've even called me at work saying they're holding my debit card safely after I rushed in and forgot it there one morning. If you are hesitant about using any post office in the Ashe or Watauga area, please do not hesitate too much and give these guys a chance. They are dependable and lovely to work with even in stressful times.
