- JGJ GDec 22, 20253.0Resident of Davidson NC for 25 years in condo complex on the lake. Experiences have varied with postal service mail and package delivery, Only in past few years have there been increasing problems with receiving wrong mail of residents with addresses all over Davidson area. But a major concern is the delivery of packages to wrong address or the constant shoving of packages into small condo mail box. In the past 6 months I’ve had to get neighbors on 4 occasions to help dislodge or bend boxes crammed in the mailbox to get them out. On 1 occasion I phoned post office to ask them to come and unlock the front of the boxes as key would not even turn. That request was met with some reluctance and excuses. The carriers just seem to refuse to deliver the smaller box sizes to the door. I’ve even started requesting vendors not to use USPS service for that reason (agreeing to pay extra). Many of residents in my neighborhood are aging with orthopedic problems, joint replacements with resulting limited mobility ( including myself). So boxed packages delivered to the door as UPS and FedEx are extremely important and essential to some of us. Today I received 2 packages from the same vendor at Etsy arrived at same time- but 1 placed at door and the other supposedly is crammed in the mailbox. Now I’m having to find a neighbor who hasn’t left for holidays to go get the package. I will continue to ask vendors to ship by other sources, but sometimes that is not an option.

The box has been sitting there for atleast 30 minutes “according to neighbors playing at the park”. Everyone’s mail out in the open for someone to easily walk up and start taking stuff that doesn’t belong to them. How does a carrier drop an entire days worth of mail and then leave? Then we wonder why we have so many problems with our mail from usps going missing…

- EMElli McGuireOct 24, 20205.0This is the most efficient, friendly, helpful and easy post office I've ever used. I've had nothing but great experiences with everyone who has worked there. Today unfortunately I witnessed a woman in line throw a temper tantrum over something that was her own fault; I wouldn't have had the patience to deal with her but the employees were FAR kinder and patient than they needed to be and did their best to sort things out for her. Some people just choose to be upset and take it out on the people around them, and I'm sorry that these people had to be caught in her bad mood today, but was so impressed by how they handled it when they shouldn't have had to in the first place. I have to rely on the post office a lot for my small business and I feel really great about living near this one now.
