A real nightmare company for getting your claim paid by them when their customer causes the damage and is at fault. They make so many errors. Their website does not work, many of their links do not work, they are a huge mess! The outsourced customer service is horrible, they do not understand English. Their adjusters and their supervisors never call you back or email you back. Allstate will cause so much frustration for your life. The worst experience ever! No wonder they have so many bad reviews on Yelp, Google, Sitejabber, etc. They are the absolute worst company, get ready for a nightmare from hell when dealing with them. They are the worst car insurance company ever! Beware!

Been a allstate customer for decades, for home & auto. I file my first ever insurance claim for my severely damaged roof from the wind, ice and snow storms.
Inspection report came back saying its a maintenence issue, the missing shingles, blown off siding and water seeping into the attic soaking the osb couldnt be from rain water or storms.
The insurance adjuster didnt get up on the roof, he sent a hired helper in his stead, I dont know what their hired hand actually said to them but if they were legit itd be close what im seeing and the other roofers see ...but allstate seemed more interested in covering the replacement of missing window screens that I never talked about and was quick to pin their damage report being based on the feedback from their hired help.
The several roofers I had come out all said the same thing, all had quotes and diagnostics that matched but the insurance report didnt mention much other than missing window screens.
They will weasel out of doing what you pay them to do. Allstate will take thousands of dollars from you and let your home crumble while offering you $60 for windows screens.
Allstate has no intention to cover any major losses.
Allstate will fabricate other scenarios that "could have happened" and document those as the root cause.
I feel betrayed, insulted and attacked.

I have never experienced such difficulty trying to resolve a single issue. I requested that my FS-1 be sent to the DMV, and it took nearly a week for it to be submitted, only for it to be sent with an incorrect VIN number. Since January 28th, this matter still has not been resolved.
I clearly communicated how urgent this situation is, as I am currently unable to drive my vehicle due to this ongoing issue. I always pay my balance in full and on time, yet this has turned into a frustrating and exhausting process. The incorrect VIN on file explains why the DMV never received the FS-1 in the first place.
Now, even correcting and updating the VIN has taken more than a week, and it still has not been fixed. I have been transferred between at least ten different representatives, each providing different information, with no resolution. To this day, I continue to be passed from one agent to another without anyone taking accountability.
Because of this delay, I have been unable to drive my car and have had to rely on Uber for transportation, and none of these additional expenses are being covered.
This situation is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I would like to understand how my VIN was incorrect in your system to begin with and request immediate action to resolve this matter once and for all.

Very disappointed with the way my claim was handled! My HVAC unit blew out and had irreparable burn damage after a lightning storm in June. The Allstate claims department procured an investigator from HVACi to investigate the claim. This company was VERY unprofessional--they failed to show up and failed to call on the date of my scheduled appointment. The investigator came out the next day and did an incomplete 15 minute investigation, did not even document the major burn damage, and his report was obviously false in stating that the burned out compressor was operational. Despite my pointing out these errors to the Allstate claims department, they DENIED my claim. At their request, I obtained a second damage report from my HVAC technician. This report was sent to HVACi so they could review the discrepancies with their initial report. HVACi proceeded to fabricate other reasons the unit likely failed, citing anything other than a possible power surge from lightning despite the fact that it happened during a storm. The claims adjuster Lisa S. with the National Catastrophe Team and her supervisor Megan L. were very incompetent and dismissive in addressing my concerns. I submitted multiple appeals to the Customer Advocacy Team, and each time was referred back to the same supervisor, who contrived multiple falsehoods and said my policy stated that if there are two possible causes of damages (such as lightning or mechanical failure) the claim would not be covered. She failed to produce a copy of this statement from my policy (because it is not in policy). It has become evident that the Claims Department is either grossly incompetent or systemically corrupt. I have held multiple policies with Allstate for over 20 years with only a few minor claims. This was my first major claim (which was only $6,000) and they failed to honor their obligation. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
