Adding on to the 1-hour long lunch break, the staff take many “15-minute” breaks that run well over 15 minutes. For a location that only operates 6.5 hours every day, this is just absurd

I ordered a package and it got rerouted because of an insufficient address. After calling DHL and USPS for over an hour, I called Carborro’s USPS site. It was over an hour and a half after closing and they picked up! Not only did I get great customer service on the phone, I was sitting on my porch and the delivery driver brought it to me! Way after hours and totally unanticipated. I was going to pick it up tomorrow! Thank you Carrboro

I've had repeated negative experiences at this location. The staff, especially the main counter attendant, is consistently rude and unhelpful, which makes every visit feel like an uphill battle.
Last week the printer wasn’t working, so I couldn’t even get a receipt. This week there were handwritten signs everywhere saying the network was down and they couldn’t accept QR codes or card payments, cash only. In 2025. On a college campus.
It’s honestly a joke that this is the level of service at a central post office in Chapel Hill, where students and community members rely heavily on tech to manage shipping and errands. USPS needs to seriously re-evaluate operations here. This place is failing its basic responsibilities.

The envelope that I mailed from this post office on June 23 never arrived at its final destination in SC. I was told that it should have arrived on June 27. I paid for an envelope and postage directly through this post office and it is heartbreaking that my envelope never arrived that contained the father's day card and some old used postage stamps for my Dad who is a stamp collector
