Went above and beyond! Helped with a notary needed, along with witness, then assisted with shipping the forms.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service I received at this UPS location on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. While the entire staff is consistently welcoming and polite, I was particularly impressed by the initiative shown by your employee, Joe. He assisted my wife and me with a very heavy package we were transporting. Joe not only offered to help us move the item into the store, but he also took it upon himself to repair and reinforce the box to ensure the heavy contents were secure. His willingness to go above and beyond was incredibly helpful and greatly appreciated. Please extend our thanks to Joe for his kindness and professionalism. Sincerely, Fazal

Upon entering the store, I observed that the lines were long and customers were being directed toward a self-service kiosk. A staff member called out to customers to complete returns at the kiosk, stating that the process was simple. I followed this instruction; however, once at the kiosk, it became clear that the process required printing a shipping label, which could not be completed there. As a result, I was required to re-enter the service line due to incorrect guidance provided by staff. When it was finally my turn, an employee who identified herself as “Toni” assisted me. I presented a pair of Beats earbuds in their original hard-shell protective case, which is designed to protect the item during shipping. I was initially told that the item could not be mailed because my label was on my phone. This was confusing, as I have used UPS stores in multiple locations across the country where labels are routinely printed in-store from mobile devices. I was then informed that I would also be required to purchase additional packaging before the item could be shipped. When I explained that the product was already contained within a protective case, I was again told that the transaction could not proceed. Based on my understanding of UPS return procedures, including Amazon returns, items are often consolidated together and shipped in bulk containers by the store. For that reason, it appeared unnecessary to require the purchase of additional packaging in this situation, and the interaction left me with the impression that I was being asked to incur additional charges that were not required for the return to be processed. As an African-American customer, this interaction also left me feeling that I was not being treated fairly or consistently compared with other customers present in the store. At that point, I requested contact information for the regional supervisor. The employee initially stated she did not have this information and later provided a business card that was already present at the counter. As I was preparing to leave the store without service, the employee waited until I had one foot out of the door to leave , then stated that she could show me how to complete the Amazon return process. This created further confusion, as assistance was only offered after I had requested management contact information and indicated my dissatisfaction. I returned to the counter and asked that the transaction be completed. The employee appeared reluctant to do so and continued assisting another customer before returning to finalize my transaction. We restarted the transaction . During this interaction, I observed other items being prepared for shipment using store-provided packaging, which added to my confusion regarding why my shipment was initially refused. The overall experience left me feeling that I was not being provided the same level of assistance or willingness to serve as other customers in the store. During this ridiculous discussion, the employee stated that because the Beats product contains a battery, it could not be included in bulk packaging if too many battery-containing items were shipped together at once. When I asked how many of the other packages being placed into that bulk shipment contained batteries, she stated that none of them did. I then asked why my return could not be shipped in the same clear plastic packaging that I observed being provided to other customers at no additional cost. At that point, no clear explanation was provided, and the employee appeared unable to give a consistent reason for refusing to process the shipment in the same manner. As a result, the interaction left me with the perception that I was being treated differently and being asked to incur unnecessary additional costs, which felt consistent with what is sometimes described as a “black tax,” where minority customers feel they are being required to pay more or receive less assistance than others in the same situation.

I have to give a 1 start review. I went in there to collect mail for my job today. I had on work attire with the logo. The guy that assisted me was very dry from the jump and nonchalant. After pulling up the account he said he needed my ID and turned me away because I didnt have it. After speaking with my supervisor and other members who are not of African American decent, they were puzzled. Another members of my team who is white went in and to my knowledge did not have to present an ID. He also said I came up in conversation and the same guy told him he asked me for the po box number and I did not know it, which is is why he couldn't give me our mail. Thats is 100% false. He never inquired about the mail box just turned me away because I didn't have an id yet let someone else of a white ethnicity come and collect it with out ID and GAVE him the box number with no issues.

Joe the manager at this store was incredible. He packed up 80 wedding gift bags for guests and shipped them overnight to the wedding location for us. We were not able to drive because of the pending ice storm and will fly instead. Joe’s quick thinking made this experience very calm and the guest bags arrived to the wedding in plenty of time. Thank you for terrific service. Well done.
