Passport appointment--Only issue was a bit of wait. Andre was super nice. Passport photos were not working here, so to speed it up, have them done already.

I was a little worried about having a passport appt here given the reviews but Mr. Andre is so helpful! He is thorough, patient, and truly there to help you and do things the right way. I needed things expedited via a hand carry so it was a slightly complex appt but he made sure I got everything I needed from start to finish and explained each step. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because their camera and copy machine were down (late Oct). Me and the appt behind me had to go elsewhere to get our photos done. When I initially checked in, the woman at the front (who I think is Kiki) was friendly and told me I could get my photo done across the street at UPS but when I went their printer was jammed. Mr Andre actually called me while I was at UPS because he found out Kiki had sent me over there and let me know that UPS wasn't working but there is a camera store like 3 minutes down the road. I got my photo done there in less than 10 minutes, came back and finished my appt. Mr. Andre wrote down the number and info for the camera store so he could send people to the right place. All in all I had a lovely experience despite the photo blip. If you come prepared with all your information and only follow Mr. Andre's instructions you'll be fine.

I walked in, no one was in line and there were two people at the desk. I smiled and happily greeted them. They both completely ignored me. The man immediately left the front, inexplicably. The woman who remained completely ignored me while she texted, presumably. I continued to wait. Never was my friendly demeanor and greeting reciprocated. The entire exchange was, on their end, completely and unnecessarily unfriendly. Mid way through my process, The woman who was finally begrudgingly helping me left the desk for no reason, made me wait some more just for the hell of it apparently. When she came back I asked a simple and appropriate question regarding the sending of my package and she couldn't answer my question intelligently at all. In the end it was such unnecessarily unfriendly behavior on their end that I decided to leave a review.

The Carrboro Post Office is the absolute worst. From missing mail, to packages delivered to incorrect addresses, to packages thrown in the woods or left on front lawn, and the post master is rude when you can get them on the phone.
Recently had a package that shows confirmed delivered to "reception area / front desk" when I am a residence in a residential neighborhood. No one has any clue where it was left.
