I was informed today that they do not accept boxes that don't have a box crush certification seal. This is the store owners policy not ups.
The policy is ridiculous. I've been using this store for years and will now only exclusively use the Cole park location until they reverse this. What a joke.
Train your employees to recognize poorly packaged items instead of this half thought policy. Poor packing is poor packing regardless of what certification the box has.

I went to the UPS store today to mail several boxes. The man who helped us at the counter asked us about repacking our boxes. I declined the offer and he proceeded to press and put all his weight on the package telling us it would be lost or damaged in transit. I asked if the packages still came with the $100 insurance. The employee told me that I would never collect on the insurance if something happened. Another employee started talking to me, while the man handled my transaction, telling me about how their packages got lost and how they didn't receive their presents until after Christmas on two separate occasions. Having used UPS for almost 40 years, I continued to move forward with the transaction despite the employee's comments about UPS. However, when I went to pay the price for one of my boxes it had increased mysteriously by $10 from the price that was quoted a few minutes prior by the employee. The employee explained UPS now does dynamic pricing with costs increasing and decreasing within seconds for shipping. Yes, seconds. I did ask to speak to a manager and the man assisting me told me that he is the store manager. Due to the overwhelming negativity and rudeness from the store employees about lost/damaged packages and worthless insurance that UPS no longer stands behind, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I came in with about 10 boxes of holiday gifts and cookies to be shipped. Donna and Juan teamed up and both helped me to get everything done very quickly. And even though I came in with LOTS of boxes, they both were very friendly and helpful.
