- PHPaul HigginsJul 26, 20254.0The post office is excellent. I wish they were open a little longer on Saturdays. The staff are courteous even when the office is busy. I'd suggest avoiding Monday mornings, they seem to get busy. Always had good experiences here.

It is unfortunate because Blowing Rock is such a beautiful place to live. I know I can’t be the only one who has experienced such terrible customer service. In my case if she would have just said “I’m so sorry. I know this is frustrating. I understand”... I would have walked out feeling totally different but instead I’m writing this necessary review.

That said, my experience has not been good. My order from Amazon was marked as delivered on a Saturday while I was out of town. The delivery details stated it was "handed off directly" so I figured no big deal, my roommate must have it. When I got back there was no package waiting for me. I waited several days as I have had similar issues before where mail was marked as delivered and shows up a day or two later, no clue as to why. After several days I went to the post office directly (hold time on the phones were over an hour) where they informed me it was left downstairs on my neighbors porch. This is not the same as handing a package off directly! My roommate informed me this is a recurring problem where we live and anything I have ever ordered has been left in the same place. I'm hopeful my neighbor has the package, but I cannot reach him to confirm as we have different work schedules. I guess moving forward I'll ship my packages elsewhere.
