went to get my passport and was there right at 8am, only to find there’s a sign on the door saying “no certified staff member on staff” all appointments and walk-ins are cancelled. Total crap when I specifically made everything line up to be able to be here at 8am. It gave me other locations to go to that are all 45+ minutes away. Do better.

So, I filled out my passport application, met with their passport agent at this post office - and paid all of the necessary fees. One month later, I get a letter from the national passport center that says that the passport acceptance agent sent in my form, photo & docs without identifying the AVL facility nor did he sign the form!

I finally talked to someone at usps after 2 hours on hold and they can't tell me why it was forwarded or where it was forwarded to they confirmed the address was 100% correct and they can't tell me why my postman delivered the mail at 9pm last night which makes me think my package was stolen by my mailman because it required a signature to be delivered so he just forwarded it but left the forward address blank. The whole situation is completely screwed up I can file theft because it hasn't been "delivered" so what am I supposed to do take a $4,000 loss?

Walked in (w/o appointment) @ 7am, AND there were at least 5 folks in front of me. Still, Bob was able to help me. It's simple. Be on time. Be prepared. Bob will take care of you.

I came prepared with everything for my passport appointment (student ID, SS card, birth certificate, learner’s permits from two states, a lease, a school transcript, mail, + more). The clerk only scanned a few things and didn’t include my lease, transcript, credit cards, or learner’s permits, claiming they “don’t accept those”. I called the passport agency after, and they told me he should have scanned everything to build a secondary evidence case. I have to wait weeks longer for something that should’ve been handled in 30 seconds. Why? I trusted this worker. This could’ve been avoided with the most basic training. P.S. I tried calling the location ahead of time to ask questions, and the phone rang for 8 minutes before cutting off with a beep. I show up and it’s not even busy, just one guy sitting there. I genuinely don’t understand how this place is being run.
